Hi, I'm
Vicky..

I am a mum of four (3 and 1 angel baby) and have carried all of my children in slings (my eldest is 11!). I am a qualified early years practitioner.
I decided to try using a sling because I had a very traumatic delivery with my first child and as a result of the emergency c-section I struggled to bond with them. Using the sling really helped! I subsequently used slings with my next 2 children and they have made my parenting journey so much easier as well as helping me overcome PND.
I have always been passionate about using slings and a believer of using a more gentle style of parenting. People would see me carrying my wee ones and often stop me to ask for advice about their sling. I went on a peer supporter course with School of Babywearing and then later on a carrying course with Slingababy to expand my babywearing knowledge and gain skills to help me pass information onto others effectively.
I am a trained and insured babywearing specialist! I am here to help you understand babywearing, discover sling types and find out how babywearing can help make your day to day life as a parent, easier! I can also help you learn how to use your sling as an aid when feeding your baby, be it by breast/chest, bottle, sns or cup.
I have more recently trained as a doula with Badass Doulas and completed several other courses as I love learning and feel it is important to keep my knowledge up to date. I am a trained breastfeeding peer supporter with the ABM. I have trained with The Caesarean Birth Specialist so I can support parents who might require to birth this way. I have also had LGBT+ competency training with The Queer Birth Club that I felt was essential in taking Little Pumpkins forwards.
